Lighthouse Technology Services obtains consent for conversational SMS communications verbally during telephone calls, support requests, service engagements, and other direct business interactions.
Before sending an SMS message, a Lighthouse Technology Services employee asks the recipient for permission using the following script:
“Lighthouse Technology Services would like to send you one-to-one conversational text messages concerning technical support, service requests, appointments, meetings, scheduling, project coordination, and responses to your inquiries. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out. Your mobile information and SMS consent will not be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Consent is not a condition of purchasing goods or services. Do you agree to receive these SMS messages from Lighthouse Technology Services?”
The recipient must affirmatively agree before SMS communication begins. Lighthouse Technology Services records the recipient’s mobile telephone number, consent, date, and associated support ticket, customer record, email, or business communication.
